For all of you grommets and jokers out there that have never heard of RAD, it was the ONLY movie about BMX to ever show in theaters around the country. It’s SWEET! What’s up. Scott got his super ledge next to the eight stair finished. He was mounting the coping tonight when I left the park. I’ve been trying to get down to the park to build, but lawns have kept me away. By the time I get home at night and eat dinner, I’m usually passing out at the table. I’m trying to figure out a way to get rid of a good chunk of my lawns, and still pay my bills; so I can put more time into the park. We shall see.
The All Nighter was actually pretty laid back for a change. I think the monsoon that rolled through St. Louis that evening kept some people away. What a bunch of little girls! That just meant more hot dogs and Red Bull for all of us that showed up; while everyone who was scared of a little rain stayed home and tried on their new panties! Just kidding. Not really. The Red Bull ladies rolled in on bikes and tore the park up! I saw one of them pull two Red Bulls out of her backpack cooler, while doing a no hander over the big box; and beam two jokers in the chest that were in her way. It was insane.
We have a new RR skate team member, Justin Bieser. He’s a shredder. Look forward to seeing him skating around the park more often. When you see him, tell him to handplant the 6-foot spine in the Ding-a-ling section.
Congratulations go out to all of the Ramp Riders’ locals who placed at the JoMoPro contest. Zack Zueschel took 4th in intermediate, Justin Sexauer placed 9th in expert, and Zack Warden placed 4th in pro.

I know it’s the wrong time of the year to make a RR thermal, but check it out on the “Ramp Riders Gear” page. It’s SWEET! It took me most of the winter to find a thermal with long enough sleeves for me that wouldn’t shrink into an XS when I washed it.

Yo! It was definitely March Mayhem! Scott and I were able to get the new skate section and rhythm rideable before the All Nighter. The ledges for the skate section and the rest of the rhythm should be done within the next month. I was EXTREMELY optimistic with my time frame for remodeling the park when we started. I had hoped to finish by the end of April. I was a little off. We will probably be working on the park section by section most of the summer. My other full time job has started back up (landscaping and lawn service). It consumes most of my time from now until November. Bummer.
The All Nighter was AWESOME! A TON of BMXers showed up to meet Daniel Dhers. Daniel pulled up to the park in an Escalade with 26’s. He stepped out with a hot chick on each arm (one of them were wearing some killer boots!) He through stickers to the crowd while slamming Red Bulls one after another, crushing the cans on his forehead shouting “Who’s the MAN!” Just kidding. Daniel is one of the most down to earth pros you will ever meet. He sprained his ankle the week before and wasn’t able to ride. He hung out instead, took photos with everyone, and signed autographs. Thanks to Red Bull for making it all possible.

3/10/08 As you have already noticed we have a new website. I have always had problems with the old site and the software I used to edit it with. I finally had enough, and decided it was time to make a change. Dustin Fadler is helping me get things going, so as I learn how to use the new software the site will start to look more unique.
We’ve started changing the park! WE WILL BE OPEN THE ENTIRE TIME. I’m sure most of you have heard the rumor that I’m making the park entirely for bikes. That’s a load of bull. The new park design will actually be more “skate friendly.” There will be more lines than ever before. We’re changing the park section by section. We’re still back by the elevator doors. We’re working our way along the back wall into the bay door corner, and towards the bathroom corner. Hopefully, we’ll be done sometime in April. As we finish projects I’ll post pictures of the new ramps on the RAMP PICS page.
The All Nighter was CRAZY! Red Bull stopped by and gave everyone “wings” as they say. Shredders had me running for cover the whole night. I felt like I was in Hitchcock’s, “The Birds.” They also set up a killer sound system and a huge screen to watch DVD’s. IT WAS SWEET!
We have a new Ramp Riders skateboard wheel design. It’s available in 52mm or 54mm. $16.00 for 4 wheels. SWEET!

The Wee Man Bike/Skate Jam is going strong. Kassie started a 3-10yrs old only (we’ll fudge on the age if you or your child is a beginner) session on Sundays from 10AM-Noon, which is before the park opens. It includes a drink, snack, and a team member will be there to help the kids get comfortable with their bikes, boards, and skates. The session will cost $10.
