ST LOUIS BIKE PARK

St. Louis Bike Park is the country’s first and only, free and legal, insured trail facility for BMX dirt jumping and mountain biking.  St. Louis Bike Park has twenty-eight acres of courses for BMX dirt jumping and mountain bike trail riding.  The park has courses broken down into four skill levels:  beginner BMX, novice BMX, expert BMX, and beginner mountain bike.  Each of the courses have levels of advancement, which develops the riders’ skills so that they may progress to the next course.  St. Louis Bike Park is located in South Saint Louis County off of Grant’s Trail.  Weather permitting; the park is open year round, seven days a week, from 1/2 hour before sunrise until 1/2 hour after sunset.

The bike park has been in existence as “trails” since 1991.  St. Louis Bike Park, Inc., a 501 (C) (3) Missouri nonprofit organization, was formed to ensure the bike park’s existence and to continue providing area riders a safe and free recreational trail facility by managing the bike park professionally.  We want to keep the bike park free to all riders, so that anyone can experience BMX dirt jumping and mountain bike trail riding.  All that is required of the rider is a bike, helmet, and the ambition to ride.  We feel that if someone’s interest is captivated by a healthy and safe activity, money should not be a determining factor as to whether or not he or she can participate in such confidence building, self rewarding, challenging, physically beneficial sports like BMX dirt jumping and mountain biking.  Donations are the essential element to the bike park’s existence and completion.  In order to finish the courses, landscape the area, make improvements to the property, and manage the bike park on a daily basis, funding is needed.

We need help!  Riders to maintain the different sections, money for Bobcat fuel, a water pump, hand tools, etc. Email me if you would like to help out.
